I’m taking a break from Steven King’s Dark Tower series, having just finished Book 2: Drawing of the Three. I’m enjoying them again, but I wanted something different as an interlude. So, after having had it recommended it to me frequently and incessantly, I have started reading Jim Dodge’s Stone Junction.
I might be a sucker for punishment, but I’m going to try one last time to read Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, starting with Book 1: The Gunslinger
If I give up again, overwhelmed by the dreariness, I may have to start reading books recommended to me by people with better taste than mine.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, by Hunter S. Thompson.
So far I’m enjoying it, it’s everything I expected it to be.
